The Creation of the Wildflower Soap

There is something magical about working in a real fairy studio. I met Veronica quite some time back over the exchange of a pumpkin plant (you can read more about that here) and through our many conversations and collaborations together we decided to mix up our magic and she created a very special soap for me. (Late night voice notes are really a thing when it comes to world domination and the mixing of all the ideas that the universe presents)

Before we did anything, I wanted to make this product uniquely me. I wanted it to smell like a field of wildflowers. So we started with the fragrance. The fairy truly made magic, first she gave me a special product where I would be able to pull the very essence of the daisy out and incorporate it into my soap. I did this by infusing the daisy’s and leaving it to develop for a few weeks

Once this settled, we spent some time finding the correct essential oils to compliment this. We made the most gorgeous blend of Snow Bush, Bergamot, Rock Rose, Cape May, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Neroli, Helichrysum to name a few. I can’t explain how amazing this fragrance became after it developed over a time of about 2 weeks. Then it was off to the studio to create some fairy magic

The thing I love the most about the process and how the fairy works is its done with the most beautiful intention. Everything is thought out carefully. The ingredients used are of the best quality. Completely natural and organic. The ethical process is just what I love most. Her products are cruelty free and don’t contain any nasty chemicals. This was a very important element for me.

This was where the magic began, my daisy essence and bespoke fragrance blend was added as one of the fist steps in the process. The workshop smelt amazing and I could hear the little fairy’s rusting outside in her fairy garden and singing a little song that ended in giggles and bees buzzing

The process is mesmerizing. No recipe, the measurements exact. The alchemist in sync with every move. I loved watching her dance around her workshop, working effortlessly and easily.

The yellow liquid is literally Daisy magic. It doesn’t normally turn yellow, but the daisy essence made it change! Its little moments like this that make the products and ideas come to life

The mixing of colours and pouring of the layers. All pigments used as natural, no harsh dyes. Stunning and iridescent turquoise Mica for the the bottom layer. the small specs you see in the middle layer has dried wildflower petals added and blended in. The top layer that looks like liquid sunshine is from the turmeric that was used to bring out a bright and bold yellow. Layers of fine gold mica dust added in-between to give it a little sparkle.

The final step, the removing from the mold and cutting of the finished loaf. The individual soaps now needed about 4 weeks to cure and harden before they are ready for use. This whole process has taken about 10 weeks from concept, planning. fragrance blending, production and now final product. Isn’t it just the most magical thing you’ve ever seen!!!! I think I’m in love.
